Dr. Hallewell is a Research Fellow in Human Factors at the University of Nottingham where she also completed a PhD in Education. She has a background in teaching social sciences. As a mixed methods researcher, her research interests center around how human-environment interactions can affect learning, wellbeing, and performance. @MaddyJHallewell
Dr. Hughes has worked as both a Research Fellow and Design Researcher predominantly within academia (Human Factors, University of Nottingham) but also commercially. She has experience working with governmental and industry partners across a variety of areas, including transport/intelligent mobility, "Smart" cities, healthcare, and dynamic lighting/wayfinding.
Dr. Large is a Senior Research Fellow in the Human Factors Research Group at the University of Nottingham. He has been actively involved in leading and delivering a broad range of industry, UK, and EU funded projects primarily concerning the design, evaluation, and acceptance of new and emerging vehicle-based interfaces and technology.
Dr. Harvey is an Assistant Professor in the Human Factors Research Group, University of Nottingham. She held an Anne McLaren Research Fellowship between 2013 and 2020. Her background is in usability evaluation, HF methods, and HCI. She has applied this knowledge in different domains including vehicle design and sociotechnical systems.
Mr. Springthorpe is a Research Specialist at SBD Automotive, specializing in autonomous vehicles and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. He has a degree level background in Automotive and Transportation Design from Coventry University which has fostered his creative approach to researching autonomous mobility and HMI/UX design.
Professor Burnett holds a Chair in Transport Human Factors in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nottingham. His research interests concern human-centered engineering design issues within the transport domain, focused on the automotive sector and emerging technologies.
