Dr. Hughes has worked as both a Research Fellow and Design Researcher predominantly within academia (Human Factors, University of Nottingham) but also commercially. She has experience working with governmental and industry partners across a variety of areas, including transport/intelligent mobility, "Smart" cities, healthcare, and dynamic lighting/wayfinding.
