Dr. Flinchum is a native of Winston-Salem, NC and has BA and MA degrees from the University of North Carolina. He moved to New York in 1985 to attend The Graduate School of The City University of New York, receiving his PhD in Art History in 1998. He joined the faculty of the College of Design in December 2013.
